7 quotes to keep in mind to live a happier life

Happiness is not something that just happens to you, it’s something that needs to be actively worked on each and every single day. It needs refreshing, motivation and inspiration.
We all have tough days or go through difficult periods throughout life, I’ve collected these quotes and included what they mean to me because they’ve helped me overcome many mind ghosts an rough paths and I hope that some of them will make a difference to you as they’ve done for me.

1. “Things turn out best for people who make the best out of the way things turn out. – John Wooden
No matter who you are, or what you might’ve achieved, difficult things will cross your path and when they do what makes the ultimate difference is how you let those things effect you.
You might’ve asked yourself how some people can be so happy even thou they might not have what you’d see as success. It’s because they make the best out of things that come their way. They make the choice to turn difficult situations on their head – to find the positives in everything they go through.

2. “Try to be a rainbow in someones cloud”Maya Angelou
When realising how much impact small actions and simple words can have on somebody’s day the chances are you’ll start using them to brighten people’s lives more. Not only will you make someone else’s life a bit easier, it will also reflect right back at you.
You know what they say… you can’t throw glitter at someone without some of it falling on you!

3. “You will never become who you want to be if you keep blaming others for who you are now.”Sham Hinduja
People make mistakes, they’re only human. Just like you. Your parents did their best to their knowledge and… life goes on. I know that some things are harder to forgive and let go of, but please don’t give people of your past the power over your actions today. Let things go, do it now and focus on retraining your own happiness.. because you’re worth every single part of it.

4. “Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”Marilyn Monroe
When one door closes another one opens… If it doesn’t then kick down a wall or build one.

5. “Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” – Dalai Lama
Happiness it not something that happens to you, it’s a lifestyle choice.
If you do something that goes against your own morals, beliefs and values, you’re working against your own happiness.
Act in a way that makes you happy and the result will be happiness.

6. “Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” – Swami Sivananda
If you are present in all situations, if you take your body, mind and heart with you into every experience the results will be of much greater value. It comes down to our basic instincts of touching, feeling, smelling and listening to our surroundings, of actually being where we are. Put your heart and love into everything you do.

7. “Do one thing every day that scares you.” – Baz Luhrmann
People who have belief and confidence in their own person tend to be happier than others.
If you do one thing everyday that scares you, you will realise how many opportunities and possibilities come with growing your safety bubble and how many fears than can be overcome with a simple action.
A lot of what we fear in life are just tricks of the mind.

  1. Truly inspiring quotes …

I really enjoyed reading your take on these quotes here 🙂

I can’t really pick one over the other, but I think, in my current situation I felt the one by ‘Swami Sivananda’ most inspiring to me 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing, Angeliqa 🙂

    Have a beautiful day 🙂
